Educational Investment for
Low Income Typhoon Morakot Victims

The money raised for the victims of Typhoon Morakot will pay the tuition and lunch boxes for 50 elementary school students and 50 high school students, for 2 years, starting February 2010.

Beneficiaries
Chiayi, Kaohsiung County, Taitung, and Pingtung Family Helper Projects estimate to help 100 junior high and elementary school kids each year from the single-parent, impoverished, orphaned and cross-generation families they provide sponsorship.

Expected Results
• Replenish economically disadvantaged families’ insufficiency in educational resources and enhance children‘s willingness and confidence to strive for a better life.
• The provisions of substantial assistance would give these children a fair opportunity like those from regular families to purse education regardless of their unfavorable conditions.
